Pokemon Go Water Festival event bring you 2 new pokemon this month!

In this article I will tell you more info about the upcoming Pokemon Go Water Festival event that will take place later this month worldwide from August 23rd, running until August 30th. Let’s dive right in and see what the hype is all about!

Pokemon Go fanatics have got only one event to be looking forward this month. The Suicune Raid Day.

 

Pokemon Go’s developers at Niantic have announced that they will be bringing back the Water Festival event starting next week on August 23rd at 1PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM BST. During the time that the Water Festival is active, users will be able to encounter many more water type pokemon in the wild such as Wooper, Wailmer and Magikarp. These water type pokemon will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, regardless of where you live! There will also be a lot of other water type pokemon close to body of water. Here’s a list of Pokemon that you’ll be able to catch:

• Wartortle
• Poliwhirl
• Seaking
• Lapras
• Qwilfish
• Mantine
• Lotad
• Feebas
• Piplup
• Buizel
• Finneon

 

In addition to this, more water type pokemon will hatch from eggs during the festival and some bigger pokemons like Blastoise, Vaporeon and Lapras will appear as Raid bosses. If you are extremely lucky, you will also be able to spot the shiny version of Carvanha and Barboach during the festival.

Trainers will also be able to enjoy twice the normal amount of candy for hatching pokemon and the distance to obtain buddy candy will be slashed in half if you put a water type pokemon as your buddy. Not a bad deal at all!

 

Niantic also announced that it will bring on August 28th the Legendary lake trio, made up of  Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie. These Legendary pokemon will appear in 5 star raids!
