Marvel’s Avengers – New 20-minute gameplay released at Gamescon 2019

In this article we will talk about the hottest news in gaming at the minute… the new Marvel’s Avengers game set to be released in 2020. They recently showcased a new 20-minute gameplay at Gamescon 2019 and I am excited to see what it’s all about… let’s dive right in!

 

JUST WOW. I have just finished watching the full 18 minutes packed with action trailer, and I am in awe for what Marvel Studios has done so far! In this gameplay you can see all your favourite heroes, including Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and many others.

After the immense success of the latest Avengers’ movie that gave an end to the first era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can only imagine that this game will be a huge success, and both Marvel, Crystal Dynamic and Square Enix (who is helping with the publishing of the game) have been working really hard to make this happen! Even though the game has made its official debut at the E3 2019, we have only seen cinematic style videos, this is the first time we see a proper gameplay. Which is EXCITING!

The plot of the games is around the Avengers unveiling their new headquarters in San Francisco, when suddenly an explosion on the Golden Gate Bridge shifts the attention to the attack that obviously our favourite heroes will go and take care of. We start already by playing with most of the characters, including Thor, Iron Man and Hulk.

The fighting style reminds me a bit of Spider Man, which shouldn’t be a surprise, given that Sony has acquired Insomniac, the amazing studio that developed The Amazing Spider Man game.

Marvel’s Avengers is coming to PC, PS4 and XBox One on May 15th, 2020. I can’t wait already to get my hands on a copy of the game!
