Disney CEO says too many Star Wars movies too fast… “Less is more”

Hello my dear gaming loving friends! Hope you are feeling well and getting ready to get more gaming info, because you are in the right spot! Today I want to tell you more about Disney CEO statement about releasing Star Wars movies. Let’s see what he had to say!

With Star Wars Jedi:Fallen Order release on the horizon, there is no doubt about the fact that fans all over the world are keen to hear more about any Star Wars news that they can find!

Disney acquired the rights for the Star Wars franchise in 2012 and since then has been very prolific with the release of chapters of the story and spin offs.

Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, clarified his position about one of his statement about releasing too may Star Wars movies in a short period of time, here’s in his own words what he said: “I have said publicly that I think we made and released too many Star Wars films over a short period of time, I have not said that they were disappointing in any way. I’ve not said that I’m disappointed in their performance. I just think that there’s something so special about a Star Wars film, and less is more.”

The first movie released after the acquisition was The Force Awakens in 2015, and since then Disney has released a new movie every year! Almost all movies have been very successful, but according to Iger, we will have to expect some sort of slowing down. Oh well… we love Star Wars and we will happily wait!
